And the Winner is.... M.J. White & Son, Inc.!

On August 21, 2009 M.J. White and Son, Inc. was announced as the recipient of the 2009 PRISM award for "Business Partner of the Year" at the prestigious 5th annual PRISM Awards put on by the Detroit Metropolitan Apartment Association (DMAA). In July we received a nomination from a property management company that we work with regularly. They were impressed by the level of service that we provide not only to the management company itself, but to their residents as well. We have consistently delivered quality workmanship and timely project completion for this company, and these were all considerations in the nomination.
The Detroit Metropolitan Apartment Association is the local affiliate of the National Apartment Association. The DMAA includes members of 30 management companies and business partners representing over 40,000 housing units in 200 apartment communities in the Detroit metropolitan area. The PRISM Awards is a first step in recognizing the evolution the Property Management Industry into a multi-faceted professional entity. The Awards' goal is to recognize members who strive to become the best not only in exterior qualities, but who go above and beyond as neighbors in their communities and providers of service to residents. There are several categories of community, management and vendor awards that are presented each year. The "Business Partner of the Year" award is given for excellence in product quality, customer service and involvement in the association.
A panel of judges was compiled of prominent industry professionals including Terry Jones of Beacon Management, State Representative Fred Durhal Jr. of Michigan's 6th House District, and Yvonne Poindexter, Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity/Program Operations and Compliance Center Director for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. The judges' efforts were put to the test by a large number of entries in all categories, and we would like to recognize those efforts and thank them for the acknowledgement of M.J. White and Son as the premier business partner of the DMAA
