MEET THE FAMILY
PRESIDENT: Michael J. White, Sr.
Back in 1979, Mike White, Sr. had a dream of starting his own company. He was a painter by trade and had learned the construction industry from past construction jobs. He started off by distributing flyers himself to promote business. The “company” consisted of pretty much one man and a station wagon! By 1980 he had a 1200 sq.ft. warehouse on Fremont in Livonia and had hired a carpenter and a superintendent. Mike's wife, Cindy, managed the office. Business was growing, and by 1998 they had to move to larger quarters on Ten Mile Road in Farmington Hills. As the work increased, more carpenters and painters were added to the payroll. Mike had developed a good reputation from his work on insurance claims and word had spread that this guy was consistently reliable and did high quality work with honesty and integrity. Today the business has grown to include 4 locations and services the lower half of the state of Michigan.

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER: Cynthia White
Cindy’s career in the construction industry actually began several years ago when she was working for a General Contractor. She had a great deal of respect for her employer and was able to learn most aspects of the business through the training that he provided her with and the opportunity to involve herself in all phases of that business. It was this knowledge and background that she brought to M.J. White when the company had grown so much that it was in need of somebody with Cindy’s expertise. She joined Mike in the venture to make M.J. White what it has become today, and now oversees all financial operations at M.J. White and Son, Inc.

VICE PRESIDENT OF OPERATIONS: Michael J. White, Jr.
Michael Graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management following four years at U of D Jesuit High School and Academy. Michael has received designations from the Clemson Advancement Foundation for Design and Building and NAWIC as well as the American Institute of Constructors. He is a Certified Master Water Restorer and Certified Master Fire and Smoke Restorer as designated through the IICRC. Michael worked his way up the ranks by working in all facets of the company prior to graduating. After graduation from MSU he came to M.J. White & Son, Inc. as an Estimator. After a short time he created the Production Department enabling the company to increase productivity and customer service. From there he has gone on to spearhead the creation of the Contents, Water Mitigation, Carpet Cleaning, and Electronics Cleaning Divisions. He currently oversees the operations of these above mentioned departments. Michael is married to Angela White, the Finance Manager here at M.J. White & Son, and has 2 loving children, Mackenzie and Michael III.

VICE PRESIDENT OF MARKETING: Audrey White
Audrey has been working at M.J. White & Son, Inc. since 1993. She started while still in High School and has gained experience in virtually every phase of the business. She makes sure that every employee of the company properly represents the high standards of the company that was established by her parents and bears their name. As a working mother of three, Audrey is an expert at multi-tasking! It is a well known fact that if anyone needs something they can call Audrey day or night and she will get needed action. In addition to her marketing responsibilities at the company, Audrey is a board member of the Detroit Metropolitan Apartment Association (DMAA) and she was nominated for Crain’s “40 under 40.” Audrey resides in Farmington Hills and is very active in the PTG at Our Lady of Sorrows School.

FINANCE MANAGER: Angela White
Angie started with M.J. White and Son in 2001 as the Finance Manager, overseeing the finance department and the administrative staff at all of our office locations. She attended Mercy High School, and earned a degree in Hospitality from the Business School at Michigan State University. Prior to coming to M.J. White and Son, Inc., she was a Buyer for an area Country Club. Angie is married to Michael White, Jr. and they have 2 children.
